Anna Throne-Holst — Candidate for Southampton Town Supervisor

Anna Throne-Holst is currently a town council member and board liaison to several departments including Human Services, the Justice Court, Senior Services and the Anti-bias Task Force. A proud mother of three sons, Anna has lived in the East End community for more than 20 years. Prior to being elected to the Southampton Town Council, Anna served as the executive director of the Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center from 1999 – 2004, where she was responsible for all areas of administration including budget planning and oversight, program development, staff development and fundraising. Anna is also a co-founder of the Hayground School in Bridgehampton where she worked with a core group of educators to conceptualize, organize and implement the creation and management of this innovative school. A graduate of American University and Columbia University, Anna holds an undergraduate degree in business management and international affairs, as well as a master’s degree in public administration and international affairs. She is also fluent in four languages.

Bridget Fleming — Candidate for Southampton Town Board

Bridget Fleming has been a resident of the Town of Southampton since 2001, when she moved here with her husband Bob to start a family. Fleming graduated from law school in 1991. As a student, she was recognized both for her academic achievements and for her outstanding contributions to the community. After graduation, she worked as an assistant district attorney in Manhattan, where she ran the office's Welfare Fraud Unit, which investigated and prosecuted fraud in public programs. Since leaving the D.A.'s office in 2001, Fleming's legal work has included real estate, land use, and zoning law, as well as professional mediation. She recently launched a law practice in downtown Sag Harbor, specializing in family and criminal law. As a Southampton resident, she has been a member of the Noyac CAC. Her son Jai, now six, will soon enter first grade at Sag Harbor Elementary School.

Sally G. Pope — Candidate for Southampton Town Board

Currently sitting on the Southampton Town Board, Sally is seeking re-election for a full four-year term. Professionally, she is an attorney, mediator and teacher. She was a co-founder and Executive Director of the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation based at Hofstra School of Law where she is also an Adjunct Professor. She also taught mediation in intensive programs across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. During more than twenty-five years of experience as a mediator, she helped resolve conflicts in a variety of settings including businesses, governmental agencies, families and community groups. Other experience includes corporate law in New York City. She is a former President of the Academy of Family Mediators (now the international Association for Conflict Resolution). As a teenager, Sally’s first job was selling hot dogs and ice cream at a swimming pool in Pennsylvania, and she was a competitive AAU swimmer. A resident of Remsenburg for 25 years with her husband, Michael, Sally is on the Board of Family Counseling Services in Westhampton and has been a Hospice patient volunteer and counselor at the Hospice Camp Good Grief for children. She has a grown son, three stepdaughters and five grandchildren.

Alex Gregor — Candidate for Superintendent of Highways

A lifelong resident of Hampton Bays, Highway Superintendent candidate Alex Gregor is a local entrepreneur with twenty years experience in construction management and field supervision from municipal projects to major developments, as well as the private residential sector. He has a strong history of civic involvement, and is committed to equal opportunity and fiscal responsibility. Currently the Chairman of the Southampton Town Independence Party, he has also held leadership positions with the Southampton Town Conservation Board, the Hampton Bays Civic Association, and the Peconic Estuary Program Citizens' Advisory Committee. As a manager and community activist, he prides himself on his ability to inspire and motivate people.

Deborah Kooperstein — Candidate for Southampton Town Justice

The first female judge in Southampton’s history, Deborah Kooperstein is seeking her fifth term as a Southampton Town Justice. Judge Kooperstein is recognized for her many contributions to the court system including the establishment of a law student intern program, installing a Spanish Interpreter in the courtroom and creating a grantfunded advocacy program for victims of domestic violence. A Bridgehampton resident and graduate of New York University and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Kooperstein is the recipient of a Certificate of Special Recognition from Congressman Tim Bishop, and has been nominated as a Woman of Distinction by the New York State Senate.
